Job Description
About the role As an Anaesthetic Technician or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant, you will assist the Anaesthetist to deliver anaesthesia and related treatments in the perioperative setting. You will be an integral member of the perioperative team, ensuring that patient care delivered is based on best practice and meets all legislative and professional body requirements.
This is a six month fixed-term position, 80 hours per fortnight and is located at Bowen Hospital, Crofton Downs, Wellington.

About you
You will be a competent and accomplished A.T or RNAA with the ability to mentor and teach other staff and impart knowledge. You will be adaptable and flexible with a cheerful positive disposition.
You will work well in a team and support the other roles within your scope of practice.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
Hold or be working towards registration from the Medical Sciences Council, a recognised qualification in Anaesthetic Technology
Are confident in your role and can communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team
Can respond and show leadership in the case of a deteriorating patient or in a crisis
Organised and methodical
