About the role
As Ward Services Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership across our inpatient ward and day stay services.
You will be responsible for:
Leading, supporting and developing nursing and support staff
Ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care
Driving operational performance and continuous improvement
Coordinating services to support efficient patient flow
Championing a positive, collaborative team culture
This is a key leadership role where you will influence both day-to-day operations and longer-term service delivery outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You are an experienced clinical leader with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting high-performing teams.
You will bring:
Current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge and skills of surgical nursing
Proven leadership experience within a hospital ward setting, ideally in a surgical or private healthcare setting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
A focus on continuous improvement and quality outcomes
This role will suit an experienced Ward or Clinical Manager, while also offering an opportunity for a high-performing senior nurse ready to step into their first operational leadership position.
