We offer short, medium, and long-term residential support to help clients regain independence and re-learn daily living skills. We provide a safe, friendly, inclusive and diverse work environment.
About the role
We’re looking for a dedicated Household Assistant/Cleaner to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
What you’ll do:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the facility
Clean resident rooms and shared spaces with care and attention to detail
Support infection control and hygiene practices
Safely manage and store cleaning equipment and supplies
Help create a positive, respectful environment for residents and visitors
This is a permanent position for 40 hours per fortnight and is located at Evolve Rehabilitation, Gisborne.

About you
We are seeking someone who:
Is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in their work
Can manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team
Has good communication skills and a sound understanding of English (spoken and written)
Demonstrates respect, cultural awareness, and professionalism
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
