Job Description
About the role
As a Gynaecology Theatre Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a specialised team to ensure the delivery of patient care, organise equipment and resources, and to obtain optimum efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
You will:
Ensure a service that is consultant and patient focused, responsive, and renowned for quality.
Work closely with the Theatre Services Manager and other Theatre Team Leaders, assisting with rosters and other staff management tasks
Actively support the Theatre Services Manager (TSM) to achieve the strategic goals of the company.
Make a significant contribution to the day to day management of designated specialty theatre and promote team work and collaboration.
This is a permanent position for 80 hours per fortnight and is located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.

About you
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, well-developed communication and time management skills, and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
You will also have the following:
5 years recent post-graduate in surgical environment
Proven clinical gynaecology experience and ability in operating theatre
Previous experience as a Gynaecology Theatre Team Leader
Team building, leadership and teaching skills
Sound clinical expertise
Demonstrates a commitment to risk management and quality
Current New Zealand Nursing Council annual practicing certificate
