About Us
At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.
About the role
As a Cath Lab Radiographer in our state-of-the-art Catheterisation Labs, you will play a key role in operating advanced imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatments.
You will also:
Adjust equipment setting and techniques to optimise image quality for accuracy during procedures.
Ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.
Collaborate and communicate with cardiologists, radiologists, vascular surgeons, Cath Lab nurses and cardiac physiologists.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
Maintain accurate records and patient information.
Your practice will be in line with the code of conduct and professional boundaries of the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
There are two permanent positions for 64 hours per fortnight, located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.

About you
As a Cath Lab Radiographer, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills, be flexible and open-minded, and successfully work in a team. You will have excellent communication skills and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
Registered Radiographer with MRTB.
Proven experience as a Cath Lab Radiographer in a New Zealand hospital facility.
Committed to continuous quality improvement and personal development.
