Job Description

About the role     

Reporting to the Reception Team Leader, you will provide reception support to our team at Wakefield Hospital.  
You will provide an efficient, safe, and well managed service for our specialists and their patients, especially: 

  • Ensure that our patients are made to feel welcome and comfortable 
  • Create reports, invoices and receipts 
  • Monitor patient accounts and records 
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails 

This is a permanent position with negotiable part time hours, located at Wakefield Hospital, Newtown, Wellington.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

About you 

As the Receptionist, you will communicate and relate to all people in a professional, respectful and efficient manner. 
As well as demonstrate confidential handling of all patient information, you will need: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and telephone manner  
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and hospital based electronic systems  
  • Work effectively to meet deadlines 
  • Offer a degree of flexibility with a 'can-do' attitude
